I am a multidisciplinary designer with a demonstrated history of overseeing design solutions from early ambiguous concepts to execution. My creative passion is designing memorable brand encounters and turning elements of a narrative into tangible products that delight people and redefine how they interact with a brand or product.
As a designer my strength lies in crafting purposeful, considered designs based on thorough research. I believe that effective designs deliver value to both the business and the end customer by keeping both sets of concerns in mind throughout the creative process. My expertise in customer experience methodologies enables me to infuse challenging projects with strategic thinking and to translate complex concepts into clear, understandable solutions.
Growing up in Southern California, I spent my free time as a kid designing book covers for fictitious children’s books and making creatures and crafts out of whatever I could get my hands on. I quickly discovered that inspiration could come from anywhere. Living abroad in Argentina and Spain as a young adult, and later working as a Spanish-language interpreter-translator, gave me a global disposition and taught me the importance of communication and having a voice.
I attended ArtCenter College of Design, where I earned a BFA in Graphic Design, focusing on packaging design and brand identity systems. I also have a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
I now live in Seattle, where I can regularly indulge my caffeine habit. I'm a bit of an adventure fiend; I love the thrill of trekking on horseback, scuba diving, or ordering the craziest thing on the menu. I also freely admit to being a little dog obsessed. And the bigger the dog the better!
