Graphic Design

Between 2013 and 2016, I honed my design skill set while working at Starbucks Global Headquarters, Microsoft, and Tether. I relished opportunities to surprise and delight with thoughtful design details.

Much like digital product design, physical packaging design requires an in-depth understanding of the customer, such as their shopping habits and home storage needs. This realization made the transition from graphic designer to product (UX) designer an exciting one, as it afforded opportunities to apply my knowledge of cognitive science and behavioral economics in a new arena.

This project convinced me that Laurel is indeed magic, and quite possibly even a wizard… but at the very least, a wonderful designer with an innate ability to make sense of chaos.

She’s kick-*ss! I really love her design thinking, both mechanically and heuristically. She has a good sense for logic and mental models, which translates well to IA concerns. And she is a Dragon Master at Sketch… holy sh*t.
